ACG’s User workplace service provides you everything you need for modern desktop management e.g. terminals, applications and services that enable your people to connect business systems and data anywhere, anytime. ACG delivers the User  workplace as a managed service, covering the entire client terminal lifecycle.

The challenge

The main question is how to create a standardized client platform that makes it possible for the user to be connected to business systems and data anywhere and at anytime, depending on business needs.
Traditionally diverse client platforms are expensive to operate and support, while at the same time it is difficult to rollout new services and business applications, as there are a number of different technologies and configurations to be considered. The increased mobility has created an information security challenge.

ACG’s solution

Our objective is to create a workplace where the user has the required hardware, standard productivity and the office software and role-based business application combined into one package. This User workplace can be then operated from the office, home or when travelling, providing the user working environment anywhere at anytime.
We use a lifecycle management approach that covers the entire range of services required for both desk-based and mobile environments.
By using standardization techniques, self-service initiatives, remote management, automated software distribution and desktop management best practices, we believe there is a possibility to achieve up to 55% cost savings* from average desktop management operations.
